OUR FIRST PRAYER MEETING
We are off and running with the start of Jesus Center Church! This past Tuesday (July 25), we had our first prayer meeting in our home. It was a wonderful time getting to meet new people and spend time together eating and hanging out. Not everyone was able to make it but we had 10 adults plus several kids crammed into our 800 square foot house - it was a ton of fun! I shared a little bit more about the vision of the church and then we concluded the evening with worship, and praying and taking communion together.
Part of the dream is to see a collective of different types of people from different races, life stages, and stories coming together in the name of Jesus. We saw a glimpse of that last night. Within our prayer group, there was much diversity of age, race, family status, and life stage. The good news of Jesus brings people together like nothing else.
Our next prayer gathering will be Tuesday, August 8th at 6 pm back at our house. Please keep us in your prayers! As we continue to meet throughout the summer to pray we are hoping to add more people to our prayer gatherings in preparation for starting Sunday gatherings. If you are local and want to come, you are invited!
The plan is to start Sundays once we have a team of at least 15-20 people who can come alongside our family in this process of starting this new church. You can be praying that the right people will come and want to be a part of this new church plant. If you would like to join, we'd love to talk more. Email me at email@example.com.
We have a couple of promising leads on potential Sunday meeting venues. Please keep this in your prayers. Here are some other prayer requests as we continue to go forward:
Pray for the people and community in Seaside and the surrounding area that we might be a blessing to them.
- Pray for a Sunday morning facility to open up for us.
- Pray for God’s provision for a variety of start-up expenses.
- A small trailer to transport our equipment
- Children’s Ministry Supplies
- Sound Equipment
Thank you to all who have supported us both here in California and back in our original home state of Washington. We are incredibly thankful! If you haven’t already you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@JesusCntrChrch) to stay up to date with what’s happening.
Grace and peace,
